This department, under the aegis of the pediatric surgery unit was amongst the first to offer dedicated pediatric orthopedic care. The department flourished under the guidance of Late Dr Ashoke Sengupta and there are specialists for treatment of complex orthopedic conditions involving the limbs and spine. It runs an outdoor clinic everyday and performs operations on a regular basis. In conjunction with pediatric neurologists it also provides Botox injection and surgical corrections in neuromuscular conditions. The department has corrected largest member of CTEV in Eastern India.
