VITEK-2, a fully automated system for bacterial identification and antibiotic susceptibility testing has been introduced. For Blood Culture tests, there are two BD-BACTEC FX-40, an automated system that utilize fluorescent technology in detecting the growth of organisms in the blood culture bottles. For detection of Dengue IgM and IgG antibody, Dengue NS1 antigen, Covid IgG antibody, Scrub Typhus IgM antibody in ELISA method uses Microplate reader and washer from Alere. For immunoassay (i.e. HIV,HBsAg,HCV,HAV,Procalcitonin) Cobas e 411 performs tests on the principle of electrochemiluminescence(ECL) and gives result both qualitatively and quantitatively. Tests like Procalcitonin which can help in antimicrobial selection at bed side are tested at fastest turnaround time(30 min) and at the cheapest rate in the city.
